Hey, is this thing on?

I'm a girl (she/he/they) from Denmark in her mid-twenties that's been known as "Atri" for over a decade online. I was initially introduced to the World Wide Web by my older brother, who himself had a great interest in video games, and as his younger sister it was my duty to, of course, bother him until he taught me how to play.
As a result, I've been an avid casual gamer for as long as I can remember, and I've spent countless hours reading about, watching others, and even occasionally playing video games myself. I feel like naming anything specific is going to give the wrong impression of me as I am right now - while I do mostly enjoy engaging with fandom spaces, being a "fan" of something hasn't really been a key part of my identity past my early teens.
My true passion lies in media analysis and, especially within the fantasy genre, the vehicles through which we express and interpret our fears and desires.
